SACRAMENTO (2-12) - Cosumnes River played their first of a two match homestand as they took on Fresno City College in Big 8 Conference play. The Rams topped the Hawks 9-0.
The Rams won all six singles matches. In the #1 singles match between Salma Prasad of Cosumnes River and Molly Amico of Fresno City, Amico defeated Prasad 6-1, 6-0. In the #3 singles match between Angela Hurtado of the Hawks and Insun Ianecki of the Rams, Hurtado defeated Ianecki 6-2, 6-1. In the #4 singles match between Paola Barron-Zamora of Cosumnes River and Roxy Sandoval of Fresno City, Sandoval defeated Barron-Zamora 6-3, 6-1. In the #6 singles match between Evelyn Bravo of the Hawks and Maddie Dick of the Rams, Dick defeated Bravo 6-0, 6-0. The tightest singles matches were the #2 singles match between Krista Le of Cosumnes River and Lisa Le of Fresno City and the #5 singles match between Hannah Dinkins of the Hawks and Veronica Orozco of the Rams. Both matches ended with the Rams' representative winning 6-3, 6-4.
The Rams won all three doubles matches. In the #3 doubles match between Bravo and Prasad of Cosumnes River and Orozco and Saul of Fresno City, Orozco and Saul defeated Bravo and Prasad 8-0. The tightest doubles matches were the #1 doubles match between Dinkins and Hurtado of the Hawks and Amico and Le and the #2 doubles match between Barron-Zamora and Le of Cosumnes River and Ianecki and Sandoval of Fresno City. The Rams' representatives won both matches 8-2.
