Hawks lose in 4 to Vikings

Pleasant Valley, CA- Cosumnes River College traveled to Pleasant Valley to take on the Diablo Valley College Vikings. The Hawks were unable to pull out the victory and ended up losing in 4 sets to the home team. Cosumnes River falls to 8-8 on the year with one more game left in their first half of their conference play.

Both middles for CRC put up solid blocks on the night. Meg Maddalena and Bethie Smith combined for 6 blocks on the night. Becca McLaughlin contributed 19 assists along with 5 kills of her own on the evening. Sierra Voyvodich tied with Bethie to post 7 kills in the match. 

Up next- The Hawks return home to take on Sacramento City College on Wednesday October 11th. The game will be held in the main gym at 6:30pm. Cosumnes River has its bye this week on Friday so their lone game will be on Wednesday. After Sac City, the Hawks will start its conference schedule over again for the second half of season.
