SACRAMENTO (11-13) - Looking to end their regular season on a high note, the Hawks traveled to Sacramento City College to take on the Panthers. In control for most of the game, the Hawks ended its 2018 season in dominant fashion with a 3-1 win over the Panthers.

The offensive attack for the Hawks was strong all night. The Hawks combined for forty-two kills, ten service aces and thirty-nine assists. Abigail Hicks set up the offense by providing five service aces. Rebakkah McLaughlin went out in her final game for the Hawks with thirty-six assists.

Defense was not to be forgotten, as the Hawks ended with sixty-five digs and twelve blocks during the four set match. Three Hawks combined for double digit dig totals – Hicks (17), McLaughlin (12), and Kylie Pires (11) - all combined for strong defensive efforts. McLaughlin was strong up front with three solo blocks. Pires picked up three assisted blocks on the left side for the Hawks.

The victory over the Panthers was the fourth victory for Cosumnes River in Big 8 Conference play and its eleventh overall. The Hawks have picked up a victory in their last match during each of Kari Nahlen's three year tenure. The win also marked the most victories in a season for the Hawks since 2008.
