Hawks Stumble At Home Against Visiting Falcons

Sacramento, CA – The Hawks were unable to mesh offensively, resulting in a loss against a conference opponent. After a strong start, the Hawks lost momentum for the second and third sets, resulting in a 5th straight loss against conference opponents. Once again, the BIG 8 is proving to be solid across the board, with no easy games against top the top teams.

The offense struggled as a whole to find and keep momentum. Miah Williamson lead the Hawks with 9 kills on 22 swings, good for a .227 kill percentage. No Hawks were able to break the double digit kill total. Giovanna Parino assisted on 19 of the 22 kills for CRC.

The defense put up a strong effort, with Abigail Hicks totaling 9 digs, and 8 digs by Giovanna Parino. The Hawks combined for 1 solo blocks and 8 combo blocks. Deziree McKee totaled 4 of the team's 8 combo blocks. Kaley Dosier added 3 combos of her own.  

Up Next – The Hawks (8-9) look to regroup before heading out on the road to take on the San Joaquin Delta College Mustangs (12-4). The game will take place in the Ernie Marcopulos Gym at 6:30 PM, with warmups starting at 5:30
