Amber Wright is the Cosumnes River College Athlete of the Week for her ability on the Softball field as well as her academic performance. 

Amber is the catalyst for the Hawks softball team and she has raised her game to the point that she is the Big 8 Conference batting leader with a .460 average from the top of the CRC lineup. She also led the Big 8 with her on-base percentage of .493 as well as leading in runs scored. She also drove in 15 runs and stole 11 bases as well during the season

Amber's play this year is a main reason the Hawks have been able to accomplish such a strong season where they have won 30 out of 40 games this year.

Amber who is from Elk Grove and Elk Grove High School is only a freshman and going into the playoffs which start on May 7th, Amber's ability at the leadoff spot will be instrumental in the Hawks success.

Amber is a business major who is looking to own and run a successful company of her own after graduation.
