Grand Slam!

Cosumnes Hawks (4-0) keep their winning streak alive, beating Skyline College (0-4) 13-1. Josh Congress had another quality start taking a no hitter into the 6th inning. Congress would end up getting his first win of the season, punching out 8 hitters. Aj Wood and Timmy Tarrant came in after to have solid relief appearances.

The Hawks offense has been on fire lately scoring 35 runs in the last three games. The game got out of reach after Burle Dixon hit a monster grand slam in the 5th inning. It seemed that almost every Hawk joined the hit parade as they had 20 total team hits. Damien Chavez and Jeremy Kolb both had 2 RBI's in the game. Brett Gieseke, the Designated hitter for the day, helped the Hawks with a team leading 3 hits. The Hawks will be looking to sweep the series as they play the last game at Skyline College on Saturday, February 3rd at 1pm.
