The Cosumnes River College Hawks (9-4) edged a close game out against College of the Seqouias (6-6). This was a full team win as almost every player on the roster contributed to the win. AJ Wood had his best outing of the year, giving the Hawks a strong 4 and 1/3 innings. Troy Davis gave the Hawks an important 1 and 1/3 innings late in the game before he handed the ball to Joey Pankratz. 

Defensively, JD Mico, Aaron Pierce, Joey Pankratz, and Alex Crouch had their best day of the year. They all had a hand in turning 3 double plays throughout the game.   

The Hawks had multiple offensive players with 2 hits. Aaron Pierce, Brett Gieseke, Joey Pankratz, Burle Dixon, and Damien Chavez all among those players. The story was Joey Pankratz in this game. The Hawks handed him the ball in the bottom of the 8th inning and he gave the team 4 scoreless innings. He also hit the big homerun to give the Hawks the lead in the top of the 11th, we don't think that ball has even landed yet. The Hawks will be back at home this Tuesday to play Chabot College (3-8) at 2pm.
