The Cosumnes River Hawks (17-19, 7-13 Big 8) take down the first place San Joaquin Delta (26-6, 12-5 Big 8) 4 to 2. The Hawks pitching shut down the number 1 team in the north led by Josh Caldwell. Caldwell, went 5 and 1/3 innings and handed the ball off to Daniel Vitoria to close out the game. Vitoria went 3 and 2/3 innings of shut out ball to give the Hawks a victory. 

The play of the game came from Jared Alameida in the top of the ninth inning. Alameida robbed Trent North of a solo home run for out number 1. Joey Pankratz, had two hits with 2 RBI's to lead the Hawks offense. The Hawks will finish up the series at Delta College Friday.
