SACRAMENTO (3-21) – Cosumnes River finished up their season series against Skyline College at Conway Field. The Hawks won 9-3

The Hawks and Trojans started this game after completing a game that had been halted since February 1st. The Hawks won the halted game 11-8.

Josh Caldwell was the starting hurler for the Hawks. Caldwell went four complete innings surrendering five hits, two runs and one walk while recording five strikeouts in the outing. Ethan Torres was first to come on in relief for the Hawks. Torres went three innings before Joey Pankratz and Troy Davis each came on for one inning of work to finish the game.

Brett Graber swung a hot bat for the Hawks as he went 3-4 with three RBI and scored three times. The Hawks got some momentum from a big home run from Griffin Selby, who was 2-5, that came in the third inning. Essex Brown and Alex Crouch both added a pair of hits to the effort, with Brown driving in two runs. Burle Dixon, Jorge Montoya and Pankratz all had hits. Dixon had two RBI.

Torres was the winning pitcher while Dylan McDonald was the losing pitcher for the Trojans.

The Hawks resume Big 8 conference play on Tuesday against Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill.
