FOLSOM (12-28) – The Hawks continued Big 8 Conference play as they took on Folsom Lake College in Folsom. The Hawks used a strong second half to defeat the Falcons 77-66.

In the first half, both teams played a back and forth game with neither team gaining an advantage over the other. The two teams were tied at 27-27 at halftime.

In the second half, the Hawks began to wear down the Falcons with full court pressure on defense which caused turnovers, transition points, and free-throw opportunities. On offense, the Hawks began to pick apart the Falcons' zone. The largest lead of the ballgame for the Hawks was sixteen. In the end, the Hawks walked away with a convincing 77-66 victory as four starters finished with double figures in points.

Khari Hutt had sixteen points, three rebounds, two assists and two steals, Marcus Robinson had sixteen points, five rebounds and six assists, Paul Ohiri had eleven points, eight rebounds and two blocks and Drew Buggs had a double-double with ten points and thirteen rebounds.

Next up for the Hawks is San Joaquin Delta College on Thursday in Sacramento. Game time is set for 5:30 pm
