Hawks Suffer Defeat To Feather River

The CRC Men's soccer team suffered their second loss in a row and first at home against Feather River with a final score of 2-0.

Coach Ron Preble had this to say about the result:

"We did start the game well in the first half and going down early also didn't help. But the way we responded after giving up an early goal gave us something to build on. We made a couple changes at halftime and it made a difference in the second half. We were able to create more chances and took control but wasn't able to find the back of the net. We knew we had to keep plugging away and that if we were to continue to find passes to feet, we knew we would create chances. Unfortunately when pressing forward to get an equalizer you can get exposed in the back and that's what happened on their 2nd goal. I am happy with the performance and there fight throughout the entire match from our boys. Credit to Feather River there a very good team and coped will in the heat. We look to reflect on the result and get ready for the next game on Friday."

Next up for the Hawks is the Northern California Community College Showcase here at Cosumnes River. The Hawks look for their first win against De Anza College on Friday at 11 am.
