HAWKS SUFFER TWO CLOSE LOSSES IN DOUBLE HEADER AT DELTAApril 16, 2014Softball traveled to play in a double header against San Joaquin Delta on April 10th. The girls played very well and came up just short in each match up. Amanda Horbasch pitched back to back games putting up great numbers for the Hawks. Amy Pedretti (Pictured Right) led the Hawks from the plate in game 2, hitting the ball very well.

HAWKS WIN BIG OVER MODESTOApril 10, 2014The Hawks beat Modesto in just 5 innings by the score of 14-2. It was an all around team effort win. The hitting for the Hawks was outstanding, as well as the defense, only allowing 2 runs. Another great performance from Amanda Horbasch from the mound, getting another win.

AMANDA HORBASCH, AWARDED NORCAL PITCHER OF THE WEEK TWICEMarch 17, 2014Amanda Horbasch has been awarded the Northern California Pitcher of the Week twice this season by the California Community College Athletic Association. Horbasch is a freshman Pitcher and Utility player from Woodcreek High School in Roseville, California. Amanda has led the Hawks from the mound this year as well as from the plate. She has been a leader on and off the field for the Hawks this season, and has earned the respect from her teammates, coach's, and the league.

HAWKS SOFTBALL WINS BIG IN DOUBLE HEADERFebruary 05, 2014Elk Grove, Calif. The Hawks started the first game very focused and only needed 6 innings to beat Lassen College 8-0. Twenty minutes later, the Hawks and Lassen College squared off again. Having just played, the Hawks came out again very motivated and focused on the task at hand, winning again, by a score of 6-2.

SOFTBALL STARTS THE SEASON WITH A DOUBLE HEADERJanuary 31, 2014Elk Grove, Calif. The Hawks kick off the season at home with a double header, Saturday, February 1st at 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM against Lassen Community College. Kristy Schroeder enters her 4th season as the head coach at CRC. The Hawks come into the season with the youngest group of players in the Big 8 Conference.

CRC SOFTBALL TO HOST FALL CLINICSeptember 30, 2013The Cosumnes River softball team announced today they will be hosting their Fall Clinic this October. The CRC Softball Fall Clinic will be hosted by CRC head softball coach Kristy Schroeder, and assistant coach Rachel Miller. The clinic is being offered in an effort to promote sport, college, as well as the newly constructed athletic facilities.
