The Hawks split on opening day with a loss to Cabrillo College 3-2. Despite 6 hits and 4 walks the Hawks were unable to produce the runs needed to gain a sweep on opening day. Cabrillo scored all their runs in the 2nd inning, and then were shut down by Angelica Dark.

Amber Wright provided all of the offense for the Hawks by going 4 for 4 at the plate and scoring twice.

The Hawks will complete the weekend on Saturday with an 11 am game against Rio Hondo and then double-up against West Hills at 1 pm.
