The Hawks beat San Jose City College in 6 innings in the first game of a doubleheader by run rule with a 10-0 score. However, it was the run rule ending that provide the drama of game 1. Rachel Hooper came to the plate in the bottom of the 6th inning with a score of 7-0 and two runners on base. Hooper got a perfect pitch and drove a towering home run over the left field fence to end the game in a run rule. Again, the Hawks provide a strong hitting attack with 12 hits as Amber Wright went 3 for 4, Kaitlin Pires adding 2 RBI's, Makenna Noya 2 for 3, Courtney Beatty 2 for 3, and Raechel Hooper going 2 for 4 with 5 RBI's with a 3 run home run.  

Angelica Dark got the win for the Hawks by throwing a 1-hit shutout.

In the nightcap, the drama continued with a bottom of the 7th inning comeback to sweep San Jose City 3-2. 

The tables were turned in game 2 as San Jose City cooled the Hawks bats as San Jose pounded 13 hits and took a 2-0 lead into the bottom of the 7th. Raechel Hooper grounded out to start the bottom of the 7th inning, then Courtney Beatty walked followed by Dani Medina reaching on an error moving Beatty to 2nd base. Kacey Lutz walked advancing both Beatty and Medina. Lindsey Lambert grounded out to 2nd base which scored Beatty and advance Medina and Lutz. Makenna Noya pinched hit for Brenda Velasquez and drew a walk. Velasquez re-entered to run for Noya. The Hawks now have bases loaded with 2 outs and are down 2-1. Amber Wright comes to the plate and gets a hit up the middle scoring Medina. With the game tied 2-2 and the bases loaded with 2 outs, Kaitlin Pires comes to the plate and hits a ground ball to the left of 2nd base and forces the 2nd baseman to commit an error on the play scoring Lutz to give the Hawks a dramatic come from behind 3-2 win.

Angelica Dark relieved Aimee Hutchingson in the 5th inning and got the win.

The Hawks will take their 6-1 non-conference record to Merced on Tuesday for a doubleheader starting at 4 pm.
