Kacey Lutz provided the offense and Angelica Dark the defensive pitching to hand Delta a 1-0 loss at CRC Stadium in conference play. The Hawks moved to 11-4 in conference play and the win sets the table for a showdown against conference leader Sac City College this Saturday.

Lutz blasted a solo home run in the bottom of the 3rd inning which was only 1 of the 4 hits Delta pitching gave up on the day. Based on the performance of Dark, 1 run is all the Hawks needed to take the win. Dark threw a 4 hit shutout which included 19 ground balls in facing 27 batters with a strong wind blowing out to centerfield all day.

The Hawks will head to Sac City College for a doubleheader conference match-up Saturday with game 1 starting at 12 pm. Fans can follow along on GameChanger.
