Hawks Reach 30 Wins

The Hawks reached 30 wins on the season for the second year in a row with 9-1 defeat of DVC in 6 innings. The Hawks jumped on DVC early with 4 runs in the top of the first; then, combined 10 hits to add a 9 run total on the day. At the plate, it was Amber Wright going 2 for 4 with 1 RBI, Courtney Beatty going 2 for 3 with 2 RBIs, and a big day for Kacey Lutz going 2 for 2 with a solo home run in the 6th for a single RBI. Angelica Dark got the win for the Hawks going 3 1/3 innings and Aimee Hutchinson finishing the game in relief. 

The Hawks finished conference play in 3rd place with a 14-7 record in the BIG 8 which is considered the toughest conference in the State. The Hawks overall record is 30-10. The Hawks will enter post-season play as a result of their RPI ranking which places them 3rd in Northern CA behind San Mateo and Sac City College. 

The seeding committee will meet Saturday to formalize the brackets which will determine host teams and opponents. Check back for up-dates!
