This Week: The Hawks advanced to the CCCAA Northern California Softball Super Regionals. The Super Regionals will continue on Saturday and the Hawks-Mustangs match up will be at noon.

Scouting the Hawks: Cosumnes River came in third in the Big 8 Conference regular season standings with a 30-8 overall record and a 18-6 record in conference play. Sophomore Courtney Beatty leads the Hawks with a .487 batting average. Freshman Brittany Baroni leads the Hawks in ERA with a 2.56 ERA.

Scouting the Mustangs: The Mustangs finished with a 34-5 overall record and won the Big 8 Conference with a 21-3 record in conference play. Sophomore Haylee Nunes leads the Mustangs with a .486 batting average. Nunes also leads the Mustangs with a 1.40 ERA.

Last Time Out: This is will be the 3rd meeting between the two schools this season. The Hawks won the season series 2-1 over the Mustangs.

About The Coaches:

Kristy Schroeder is in her 7th season as Head Coach. She had previous coaching stops at Truman State University and UC Santa Barbara.

Jim Fisher is the head coach of the Mustangs. He formerly was the Assistant Coach and Head Coach of the Mustangs' baseball team. He was also an Assistant Coach at Bakersfield College and Fresno State University.
