Coronado Signs With Sacramento State

Former Cosumnes River College shortstop Leandra Coronado has signed to play for California State University, Sacramento after a successful three-year career. Coronado was named first-team all-conference by the Big 8 after her 2022 season.

"I'm happy Leandra is going on to play at Sac State.  She is a very good shortstop who can play at the Division I level," said head coach Kristy Schroeder. "They have had their eye on her since we played them in the fall of 2021. I think she will be very successful for the Hornets."

Two of Coronado's seasons at CRC were cut short by the COVID-19 pandemic. However, she returned for a third season in 2022 in which she hit .378, scored 29 runs and had 17 RBI for a Hawks team that was ranked seventh in the final 3CFCA State Softball Poll and ended the season in the Super Regionals.
