CRC Invitational Starts Thursday

SACRAMENTO (11-5) – Cosumnes River will host its annual CRC Invitational on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The invitational will feature eight teams from around the state with the championship, consolation and third place game taking place on Saturday. The first round and second round games will happen on Thursday and Friday.

As follows is a preview of the tournament competitors:

Cosumnes River – The Hawks finished 1-23 last year. The Hawks return Brookelyn Larkin, Alexia Liddell and Micaela Dagler

American River – The Beavers finished 17-11 last year and finished fifth in last year's CRC Invitational. The Beavers return Jasiah Sufi (13.6 ppg) from last season.

Butte – The Roadrunners finished 4-20 last year and finished fourth in last year's CRC Invitational. Rebecca Horn returns from last year's team.

Folsom Lake – The Falcons finished 5-20 last year. The Falcons return six of their seven leading scorers from last year.

LA Trade-Tech – The Beavers finished 24-7 last year and finished their season in the CCCAA State Quarterfinals. The Beavers are the defending champions of the CRC Invitational.

Los Medanos – The Mustangs finished 19-9 last year and finished their season in the CCCAA Northern California Playoffs.

Shasta – The Knights finished 15-14 last year and finished their season in the CCCAA Northern California Playoffs. Jordan Martinez (10.7 ppg) and Keeley Tuggle (5.3 ppg) return to the Knights this season. The Knights are the defending runners-up of the CRC Invitational.

West Hills (Lemoore) – The Golden Eagles finished 13-14 last year. Jasmine Xiong returns to the Golden Eagles this year.
