Fairfield, Calif. ------ The Cosumnes River Hawks (3-6) open up their final tournament of the season at the Solano Showdown against Chabot College (9-3). The Hawks were looking for a neutral win against a strong Chabot team, as they traveled down to Fairfield, California. The Hawks struggled shooting from both the field and the free throw line in the game. 

Cosumnes was led in scoring by sophmore guard Arionna Butts, who had 19 points to go along with 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Butts played 40 minutes in the effort. Freshman forward Chelsey Shirley helped Butts by putting up 14 points and grabbing 14 rebounds. Shirley also played 40 minutes in the effort as the Hawks couldn't pull out the win. 

The Hawks look forward to their second round matchup in the tournament against the home Solano College.
