Cosumnes River College fell to Santa Rosa College on Tuesday, 64-56, even with Nevaeh Glaindo scoring 13 points. Glaindo was the front runner for CRC lady HAWKS's offense with 13 points, including six during the first period. She also contributed three rebounds.
Two other players also added ten or more points for Cosumnes River College. Arionna Butts had 12 points and Chelsea Shirley added 10 points. Also contributing for Cosumnes River College were Tamia Gray (9 points, 5 rebounds, 3 steals), Suraya Cabrera (5 points, 4 rebounds), Mekkah Pharr (5 points, 2 rebounds), and Kiara Jones (2 points, 2 rebounds).
Cosumnes River College finished the game with 36 rebounds (8 offensive / 28 defensive), two blocks and eight steals.

Although Kiara Jones put 11 points on the scoreboard, Cosumnes River College fell to Sierra College 76-43. Sierra College grabbed the lead against CRC lady HAWKS on a two-pointer from Alyssa Baker in the second period and held on. Jones was the leader of Cosumnes River College's offense with 11 points, including nine during the third period. She also contributed seven rebounds, two steals and one block.
Also helping the effort for Cosumnes River College were Mekkah Pharr (8 points, 2 rebounds, 1 block), Arionna Butts (8 points, 7 rebounds), Chelsea Shirley (6 points, 19 rebounds, 1 block), Tamia Gray (5 points, 4 rebounds, 1 block), Sarah Hinton (3 points, 4 rebounds), and Suraya Cabrera (2 points, 3 rebounds, 2 steals).

The Hawks take a much needed break with a bye on Tuesday and then again travel on the road to face the Beavers of American River College on Friday January 31st. The Hawks look to avenge their first round loss to the Beavers and bring the win back to the Hawks Nest. Tip off is at 7:30pm.
