In spite of a solid performance from Chelsea Shirley with 12 points and 17 rebounds, Cosumnes River College fell to Folsom Lake College 53-32. Folsom Lake College grabbed the lead against CRC lady HAWKS on a two-pointer from Hutton in the second period and held on.

Cosumnes River College lost steam early, as they trailed 24-17 by the half after scoring a game-high 11 points during the second quarter.

Shirley found success all over the court for Cosumnes River College, making 43% (3-for-7) of shots attempted while also sinking 67% (6-for-9) of free throws attempted.

Also helping the effort for Cosumnes River College were Arionna Butts (9 points, 4 rebounds), Sarah Hinton (5 points, 4 rebounds), Kiara Jones (2 points, 5 rebounds, 2 blocks), Tamia Gray (2 points, 1 rebound, 1 steal), and Veronica Alejandrez (2 points, 5 rebounds, 2 steals).

Cosumnes River College finished the game with 47 rebounds (17 offensive / 30 defensive), five blocks and nine steals.

The Hawks head on the road for their last road game on Tuesday February 11th at Diablo Valley College. They then return for their last two home games on Thursday February 13th and Friday February 21st. All games tip off at 7:30pm.
