SACRAMENTO -- The Lady Hawks fell short at home in a 1-3 loss to the visiting Evergreen Hawks at Cosumnes River College.  After one day of rest from their previous match in Lake Tahoe, the Lady Hawks were presented with a tough challege at home.

Evergreen found the back of the net in the first 15 minutes of the match.  Minutes after the Hawks conceded a goal, Freshmen midfielder Bailey Bradford was tackled in the box and awarded with a penalty kick.  Sophomore forward Alexandria Torres was denied from the spot by Evergreen's Sophomore goalkeeper Hazel Sanz.

At the 45th minute Alexandria Torres was able to capitalize on an Evergreen turnover and match was tied 1-1 at half.

In the second half, Hawks had a few early goal scoring opportunities but were unable to find the back of the net.  Evergreen scored their second goal making the game 1-2 and were later awarded with penalty kick that was converted to make the final score 1-3.

The Lady Hawks will host Sierra College on Tuesday to kick start the Big 8 conference. Kickoff is at 3:30 p.m.
