The Sacramento City Panthers again played with tremendous chemistry and intensity on defensive side of the floor and led 64-38 at the half. Cosumnes River try to rally in the second half but the Panthers kept attacking the CRC perimeter defense and scored in transition. The Panthers won the game in dominant performance 110-77.
Panthers were led by So F (#23) Vic Rustin season-high 27 points (22 in 1st half) and 9 rebounds. Fr G (#5) David King had 17 points and 4 assists, So G (#3) Devin Joseph scored 16 points and had 5 assists, Fr G (#12) Bret Lynch had 15 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. So F (#22) Arnie Vargas scored 13 points with 6 assists, 5 rebounds and 4 steals as well. So F (#55) Brandon Rowden finished 8 points 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Fr G (#34) Michael Wadsworth had 6 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists as well.
The NorCal 13th ranked SCC Panthers (14-10 / Conf. 6-4) look to extend their 2 game win streak on the road Tuesday Feb. 9th 5:30 PM at San Joaquin Delta (9-12 / Conf. 4-6). Come out and show your "Panther Pride" Thursday Feb. 11th as the Panthers face the DVC Vikings at 5:30 PM.
