Personal:  Michael’s family includes grandparents Johnie and Carolyn, mom Lennina, brothers Julian and Demario, and sister Jewel. He’s been playing basketball since he was 8 years old. He chose this sport because his brother was always playing at the park and he didn’t like staying home. His major is Undecided. He aspires to become a dentist or an x-ray technician.  In his spare time he enjoys hanging out with his family and watching TV.

Athletic Highlights: 4 year varsity player, All Metro League 2nd Team sophomore and freshman year, All Metro League senior year, Don Trollinger Tournament MVP two years in a row, All Tournament Team Folsom Invitational and Rocklin Showdown.

Significant Sport Achievement: My most significant achievement was probably when I scored 5-2 vs Burbank my senior year.

Most embarrassing thing that happened in his sport: One time when we were coming out of the tunnel my freshman year in warm-ups I went for a lay-up and my pants fell down.

Favorite Teacher: My favorite teachers were Mrs. D (Dismukes) because she was really nice and always positive, and Ms. Marguez because she was very nice like an aunty and taught me a lot about growing up and being a great kid.

Person he most admires: My grandparents, because they are very hardworking. They are the smartest people I know and are always there for me and help me with anything.

Person you would most like to meet: Myself in 10 years, to see where I go or what I become.

Best Advice ever received: Everything you go through is a blessing, even the bad things. Always look at the bigger picture.

Person who most influenced your athletic career: My brothers, Donnie, & Shaun Manning and Jordan.

Best thing about being a Hawk: I like the school and the environment. Everyone is nice and helpful.
