Another match with no scoring in the second half for CRC, only this time it kept the Hawks lead intact for a 2-1 win.

Ethan Krebs started the scoring off for the game and the Hawks with his second goal of the year with a handy assist from Preston Magonigal which was his second of the season.

Bryan Gonzalez put the Hawks up two nothing and would prove to be the game winner. The goal was Gonzalez first of the year. The Hawks made the lead stand up in spite of a late goal from Modesto making the 2-1 halftime score.

Both teams made some adjustments in the second half which accounted for the limited scoring. 

For the Hawks, Alexander Mercado got the start in goal and saved 6 of the 7 shots on goal he faced from the Pirates.

Next up for the Hawks: Another road trip, this time to Santa Rosa to face the Bear Cubs who are tied with Delta at 0-0-1 in Big 8 play this year and are 5-1-2 overall. The Hawks remain atop the Big 8 leader board at 2-0-0 and 5-4 overall.
