Hawks wanted to rebound after a disappointing loss against the Mustangs of Delta College.
Things started out right for the Hawks as they took a 1-0 lead in the 24th minute by a goal by sophomore #11 Francisco Comparan for his 5th goal of the season off an assist by freshman #2 Dominic Mastretti.
Delta College tied the game up 10 minutes into the 2nd half off a broken play that beat #0 Alexis Jacobo- Trejo to the far post. In the 70th minute, the Hawks were awarded a pk after Comparan was fouled in the penalty area and Sophmore #10 Lincoln Carvalho slotted his 5th of the year and regained the lead at 2-1.
The Hawks then made two costly errors and handed the Mustangs two penality kicks. The first coming three minutes after taking the lead after a foul was called. GK #0 Alexis Jacobo-Trejo made not one but two point-blank saves before the Delta striker slotted in their third attempt to tie the game at 2-2.
inside the last minutes of the game, the referee awarded Delta another penalty after he spotted a controversial handball. The Mustang was able to capitalize on their opportunity won the game 3-2
Next up for the Hawks is four non-conference games beginning with College of the Sequoias Tuesday on the campus of CRC at 4 pm
