SACRAMENTO (10-19) - Cosumnes River returned home to finish off their non-conference schedule as they played host to West Hills College of Lemoore. The Hawks defeated the Golden Eagles 3-0.
In the first half, the Hawks got on the scoreboard in the seventh minute when Francisco Comparan scored off his seventh goal of the year off a pass from Daniel Ramirez. In the 23rd minute, the Hawks added to their lead when Ramirez was able to find Tyler Simkins for his first goal of the year. The Hawks led 2-0 at halftime.
Their third goal came in the second half when Luis Sandoval scored on a header off a cross by Jubilee Emojong in the 55th minute.
The 3-0 win stretched the Hawks' unbeaten streak to four.
The Hawks will start the second half of Big 8 Conference play on Friday as they take on American River College in Sacramento.
