The Hawks opened the season at the Monterey Peninsula College Tournament in Monterey , CA. 

Behind the great pitching of Aimee Hutchinson and the power hitting of Raechel Hooper the Hawks defeated Monterey Peninsula College 11-0 in 5 innings.

The Hawks opened strong against their first opponent of the 2016 with a perfect game performance by Aimee Hutchinson. Hutchinson faced 15 batters in 5 innings and allowed no runners on base with no hits or runs to allow for a perfect game through 5 innings as the game was called for the run rule in the 11-0 victory.

Raechel Hooper provided all the offense with a grand slam in the 2nd inning to power the Hawks to their first victory of the season. The Hawks play Cabrillo College in the night cap.
