Personal:  Suraya’s family includes dad Christopher, mom Marla, sisters Amara and Leyla, and brother Jalen. She started swimming when she was 7 years old. She chose this sport because she was introduced to it by a close friend, who she also still swims with. Her major is Kinesiology. She aspires to become an Athletics Trainer. In her spare time, she enjoys eating most definitely, being surrounded by my friends, and singing and dancing.

Athletic Highlights: I’ve been swimming for 14 years, and all 4 years of high school.

Significant Sport Achievement: Qualifying for Nor Cal Top Swimmers, meeting and beating 2 team records.

Most embarrassing thing that happened in her sport: One of my beginning years of swimming I had a really cute guy on my Rec team and when hoping out of the pool I kicked him in the face. It was an accident, but I hurt him pretty bad. I was so embarrassed.
