Personal:  Gertrude’s family includes dad Marbien, mom Victoria, brothers Val and Andre, sister Moria, and baby brother Cole. She started swimming when she was 8 years old. She chose this sport because she just wanted to like have fun swimming; then, she enjoyed swimming competitively when she started getting gold metals. She aspires to become a Dietitian or Nutritionist. In her spare time, she enjoys singing, playing league of legends, watching horror movies and traveling to places.

Athletic Highlights: The only swimmer in my high school.

Significant Sport Achievement: I was able to compete in 4 countries (Bangkok, Taiwan, Singapore, and Philippines), plus the U.S.A.

Most embarrassing thing that happened in her sport: When I dove in the pool earlier than everybody else.

Favorite Teacher: My favorite professor is Coach Liz because she is awesome and inspiring.

Best thing about being a Hawk: The best thing about being a Hawk is having fun. Cool people and I like the school colors (blue & orange).
