Personal: Gabrielle’s family includes mom Mayme and her brother Clayton, Shawn and Zack.  Gabrielle started playing volleyball when she was nine years old because she was really shy and her Mom thought it would help her come out of her shell.  She aspires to become a History teacher.  In her spare time she enjoys shopping, sleeping, eating and spending time with friends.

Athletic Highlights:  Multi-Sport athlete;  League  Champions sophomore year.

Favorite Teacher:  My yearbook teacher, Mrs. Steacker, because she taught me so much and always believed in me.

Person she most admires:  My Mom because she taught me to always be strong no matter what.

Person she would most like to meet:  I would like to meet my great grandparents because they passed away before I was born.

Best Advice ever received:  You can do whatever you put your mind to.

Who Most Influenced your athletic career:  My first volleyball coach, Cody Peterson.

Quote that inspires her: “Somewhere behind the athlete  you’ve become and the hours of practice and the coaches who have pushed you is a little girl who fell in love with the game and never looked back.  Play for her.”

Best thing about being a Hawk: Being with my team.

Coach Baxter says: “Gabbey will be our DS this season.   She will be playing along side Mary in the back row and between the two of them our defense should be stellar.”
