Coach Shannon Padovan is in her first year as an assistant coach at CRC after a Hall of Fame career as a player and coach. Padovan played 2 years as a second baseman at Sacramento City College (SCC). She was named an all-American in 1988 and led her team to a state championship. In 2017, she was inducted into the SCC Hall of Fame. After her time at SCC, she transferred to Sacramento State where she played two more seasons as an infielder. Padovan’s coaching career spanned 10 seasons at McClatchy High School where she was inducted into the McClatchy Hall of Fame as a player and as a coach.

Padovan graduated from Sacramento State with a B.S. degree in criminal justice. She recently retired from Sacramento County Probation Department and has a son named Austin who attends Sacramento State University.
