Hawks defeat Las Positas 81-76 to reach Finals of 38th James Clark Classic Tournament.

The CRC Hawks had three players in scoring double figures led by the monster game by Freshman Sean Hough who battled both of the LPC Hawks big men all game long. Hough ended with 22 points on a superb 9-11 shooting effort but really stood out on the boards where he tallied 19 rebounds against two Las Positas big men who he gave up at least 5 inches in height too.

Hough recognized what he had to do against the bigger Hawks from Las Positas, "I just had to box out those guys and I really needed to have a nose for the ball and never giving up on it."

He did foul out late in the game, but with the lead that CRC had they were able to protect it well enough with ball movement as they only had 3 turnovers on the evening.

Ball control was very important especially down the stretch when CRC didn't have Hough's defense. Leondre Lintz took control with his slashing to the hoop and general steadying influence from the point, "The guys trust me to be the leader and to make the shots so I told them "I got this, we got this we can do it.""

Dé Rajaee Austin added 18 points on 7-12 shooting which included 3-7 from beyond the arc. Austin added 3 assists for the Hawks.

Lintz put up 16 points including 2 rebounds, 3 steals, and 3 assists while also being 3-7 from three point land. For the game the CRC Hawks shot 45 percent from beyond the 3 point arc with 9-20 shots falling.
