The Hawks hosted the home opener in Big 8 Conference play last night vs. Folsom Lake College. The game was tight for the entire first half. Both teams were knotted at 36 at the half. De'Rajaee Austin had 14 points at the half, and Nate Wilson came into the game and provided stability and physical play in the paint.

In the second half, CRC came out aggressive on defense causing Folsom Lake into quick shots and turnovers to create offensive opportunities. CRC went on a 7-2 and 8-1 run to break open a comfortable lead. With 8:42 remaining, the Hawks extended the lead top 18 points.

CRC cruised to a 81-72 victory and improved to 2-1 in Big 8 play and 6-7 overall. The next game is on the road at Delta this Saturday at 7:30pm.
