The CRC Hawks opened play on Friday with a victory against Bakersfield College in the 2016 Nor-Cal Community College Showcase at Cosumnes River College.
The Hawks spotted the Renegades a two goal lead and then stormed back for a 3-2 win with all five goals in the match coming in the first half.
Trailing 2-0, Eric Figueroa got the Hawks rolling with an unassisted goal, his first of the year. Next, Preston Magonigal scored for the Hawks on a penalty kick to tie the game and the scoring concluded with a goal from Vladimir Jovanovic off an assist fom Jesus Cota.
Alexander Mercado faced seven shots on goal for the Hawks with five saves.
