The CRC Hawks scored first to take the lead as Antonio Almaraz scored unassisted in the 32nd minute with his second goal of the year for the 1-0 lead. A Santa Rosa goal in the 34th minute tied the score at the half 1-1.

After Santa Rosa went up in the 68th minute for a 2-1 lead, the Hawks struck back 3 minutes later as Alexis Marquez had an unassisted goal which is his second on the year as well. The Bear Cubs drove the dagger home with their late goal for the 3-2 victory.

Alexander Mercado had 2 saves on the 5 shots on goal he faced against Santa Rosa. The Bear Cubs out shot CRC by an 11-8 margin for the match with 9 of their 11 shots in the second half.

Santa Rosa in now in first in the Big 8 at 1-0-1 and 6-1-2 over all while the Hawks drop to second in Big 8 plat at 2-1 and 5-5 overall.

Next up for the Hawks is a Tuesday road trip to Folsom Lake College for a 6pm start and later in the week there will be another road game this time against San Joaquin Delta on Friday the 7th at 2pm.
