Hitting and scoring was the name of the game for The Hawks in their 11-4 defeat of the CCCAA statewide 3rd ranked team, Delta College.

The Hawks spread the hits throughout the lineup with Courtney Beatty going 2 for 4. Miranda Rodriquez going 3 for 5, Taelor Ford going 3 for 4, Chelsea Martinez going 2 for 4, and Veronica Smith going 2 for 3 at the plate. Beatty, Ford, and Martinez each picked-up 2 RBIs while Smith picked-up 1 RBI.

Ashleigh Berg got the win in relief going 3 2/3 innings giving up 2 hits and allowing no runs. Brittany Baroni started the game and went 3 1/3 innings giving up 8 hits, striking out 6 and allowing 4 earned runs.

The Hawks will head to Folsom Saturday for a conference double header. Game 1 is scheduled to start at 12:00 pm. Fans can follow along on GameChanger.
