This Week: The #3 seed Hawks advanced to the CCCAA Northern California Softball Super Regional where they will take on the #6 seed Fresno City College Rams. The Hawks/Rams series will start on Friday and first pitch of game one will be Friday at 2 pm. 

Scouting the Hawks: Cosumnes River came in second in the Big 8 Conference regular season standings with a 33-7 overall record and a 20-4 record in conference play. Sophomore Malia Babasa leads the Hawks with a .420 batting average. Tatiana Blas leads the Hawks in ERA with a 1.15 ERA.

Scouting the Rams: Fresno City finished with a 28-10 overall record and finished first in the Central Valley Conference with a 15-3 record in conference play. Giana Quintanar leads the Rams with a .354 batting average. Quintanar leads the Rams with a 1.71 ERA.

Last Time Out: This will be the second meeting between the two schools this season. The Hawks defeated the Rams 2-1, in eight innings, in Fresno on February 24^th. The two teams have nine common opponents – American River College, College of San Mateo, Folsom Lake College, Monterey Peninsula College, Ohlone College, Reedley College, Sacramento City College, San Joaquin Delta College and Sierra College. The Hawks went 19-5 against those opponents while the Rams went 12-3
