
LOS ANGELES – Kalani Hernandez earned California Community College Fastpitch Coaches Association (CCCFCA) Player of the Week honors on Monday.
Hernandez was a force at the plate last week, hitting safely in eight of her 11 at-bats. The sophomore catcher drove in six runs while scoring six after reaching base nearly 82% of the time. Hernandez helped the Hawks to key wins over Butte and No. 14 San Joaquin Delta.
Hernandez is pacing the Cosumnes River offense with a .398 batting average. She has seven doubles on the season.
