Cosumnes River College struggled defensively in their 6-0 loss to American River College, with key errors allowing extra opportunities for ARC. Ultimately, CRC could not recover in the end.
Offensively, there were some bright spots for CRC. Charlize Fasula had a solid performance at the plate, going 2-for-3 and providing some offensive spark. Eden Hobart reached base twice and stole two bases, but again CRC couldn't capitalize.
On the mound, Marissa Alders came in as a reliever and delivered two scoreless innings, striking out two batters and keeping the game within reach. Despite generating six hits, CRC struggled to deliver on scoring opportunities, leaving six runners on base and failing to come through with the crucial hit when needed.
CRC will look to bounce back this weekend, April 5th at 12 and 2pm when they face Sacramento City College at home.
