This Week: The #9 seed Hawks advanced to the CCCAA Northern California Softball Regional where they will take on the #8 seed Fresno City College Rams. The Hawks/Rams series will start on Friday and first pitch of game one will be Friday at 2 pm. 

Scouting the Hawks: Cosumnes River came in fourth in the Big 8 Conference regular season standings with a 21-16 overall record and a 13-8 record in conference play. Sophomore Abigail Woodfill leads the Hawks with a .397 batting average. Marissa Alders leads the Hawks in ERA with a 2.10 ERA.

Scouting the Rams: Fresno City finished with a 28-12 overall record and finished tied for first in the Central Valley Conference with a 13-2 record in conference play. Lexi Rossotti leads the Rams with a .422 batting average. Sara Barbosa leads the Rams with a 1.86 ERA.

Last Time Out: This will be the second meeting between the two schools this season. The two teams split a doubleheader on February 21^st – the Rams won 9-1 in game one and the Hawks won 4-1 in game two

The two teams have six common opponents – Folsom Lake College, Reedley College, San Joaquin Delta College, San Jose City College, Sierra College and West Valley College. The Hawks went 9-6 against those opponents while the Rams went 7-3
