Personal:  Xavia’s family includes mom Cherney and sister Chenique. She’s been playing basketball since she was in sixth grade. She chose this sport because it seemed like a good idea. Her major is Animal Bio. She aspires to work with big animals or the health of animals.  In her spare time she enjoys hiking, writing poetry, anything outdoors, or hanging out with family and friends.

Athletic Highlights: Sophomore Year MVP, Senior Year Team Captain.

Significant Sport Achievement: Starting every game my sophomore and senior years.

Most embarrassing thing that happened in her sport: I tried to save the basketball from going out of bounds and I threw it and hit a girl in the face and her nose bled.

Favorite Teacher: Mr. E, he helped me come out of my shell and be my loved self.

Person she most admires: My mother because she sacrificed so much and she is such a strong person. She is my rock.

Person you would most like to meet: Maya Angelou because she is my favorite poet and she has some wonderful writings. And Tupac just because it’s Tupac.

Best Advice ever received: “You are the one with the pen and paper. Can’t nobody write the story to your life but you.” And another quote is, “Finish strong”.
