Personal:  Alexiza’s family includes dad Andrew, mom Yvonne, and brother Andrew Scott, and Andrew Scott Jr. She’s been playing basketball since she was 5 years old. She chose this sport because her older brother played it and her dad took them to the park often. Her major is Business. She aspires to run her own shoe stores.  In her spare time she enjoys being around her family. Her brother takes her to play ball at 24 Hour Fitness. Her friends plan movies with her.

Athletic Highlights: Played in Double-Overtime AAU Tournament in Las Vegas. I hit two free throws to force 1st overtime. Made a lay-up to force 2nd overtime. And won the game by stealing inbound ball and hitting the shot.

Significant Sport Achievement: I was selected to the All-Star Team and went to Los Angeles to represent NJB of Northern CA two years in a row. I played on a co-ed team.

Most embarrassing thing that happened in her sport: I had my pants pulled down during a game.

Favorite Teacher: My sophomore and junior English teacher, Ms. Cornellius, because even though her class was hard she made sure every student got the information.

Person she most admires: My parents are the people that I admire the most. When I was younger I thought they could do anything.

Person you would most like to meet: My big sister Adory because she passed before I was born and I always wanted a sister.

Best Advice ever received: My dad always told me, “Do your best at whatever you try because you never know who’s watching you.”

Person who most influenced your athletic career:  My brother, because I wanted to be like him and be good at every sport.

One word that describes her off the court: laid back

Best thing about being a Hawk: It’s close and I can check on my family. Less worry for me.
