Fairfield, Calif. ----- The Cosumnes River Hawks (4-8) took on the Los Medanos Mustangs (2-8) final day in the Solano Shootout. The Hawks were looking to get a win, after two tough losses in the first two rounds of the tournament. Cosumnes played extremely well on the defensive end by holding the Mustangs to just 22% shooting from the floor. 

The Hawks were led offensively by sophmore post Kiara Jones, who poured in a season high 24 points and 17 rebounds. The win was a team effort as a host of Hawks scored in the game, freshman Tamia Gray contributed 10 points and 11 rebounds. As well as freshman guard, Nevaeh Galindo who had 8 points and 8 rebounds. 

Cosumnes turns their focus to league play, which starts next Thursday as they take on Sierra College.
