Although Arionna Butts put 16 points on the scoreboard, Cosumnes River College fell to Modesto College 63-49. Modesto College grabbed the lead against CRC lady HAWKS on a two-pointer from #32 Jennifer Pedretti in the second period and held on.

In spite of scoring a game-high 19 points during the second quarter, Cosumnes River College fell off fast, trailing 31-29 by the half.

Butts put the most points on the board for Cosumnes River College during the second period by scoring nine. She also finished the game with a team high 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Even with her effort the Hawks couldn't overcome the scoring deficit. 

Nevaeh Glaindo hit double digits, scoring 10 points for Cosumnes River College (3-for-9). Also contributing for Cosumnes River College were Mekkah Pharr (6 points, 1 rebound), Kiara Jones (6 points, 6 rebounds, 2 steals), Tamia Gray (2 points, 3 rebounds), Sarah Hinton (2 points, 1 rebound), and Chelsea Shirley (5 points, 5 rebounds, 2 steals, 2 assists).

Cosumnes River College finished the game with 34 rebounds (14 offensive / 20 defensive) and 9 steals and 8 assists. 

The Hawks have their final bye on Tuesday February 18th but return to their home court on Friday February 21st to celebrate their sophomores in their final game. The Hawks will take some time at the beginning of the game to celebrate all that Ari Butts and Kiara Jones have done for the Hawks over the last two years. Tip off will be after the celebration.
