Sacramento, California. Lady Hawks hosted Evergreen College in there last non-conference match of the season.
Lady Hawks got out to an early lead when in the 14th minute when sophomore Analise Villasenor played the corner short and served a ball into the box. Sophomore Nariyah O'Brien got on the end of it and put the ball in the back of the net to give the Hawks the 1-0 lead. A late first half goal by Evergreen saw the Hawks go tied into half. A back and forth second half had both teams fans on the edge of their seats. The deadlock was broken when in the 75th minute Jaeda Wilson played Analise Villasenor in behind the Evergreen backline. As Villasenor got in the box to finish her chance, she as taken down by the Evergreen defender for a penalty kick. Analise Villasenor stepped up and put the ball in the back of the net giving Villasenor her first game winner of the season and the Lady Hawks a 2-1 win.
Next up for the 5-3-3 Lady Hawks, they start Big8 conference play hosting DVC on Tuesday at 3:30 and Sierra College on Friday.
