More Swim Records Fall!

Sara lowered two of the CRC swim records on January 30th, 2016. The 50 breast stroke was lowered by 1.04 seconds and the 200 breast was a new race for CRC. "Coming out of the swim meet I felt good. Tired, but I felt successful and that I did all that I could." Sara's "wow" moment of the season so far has been the home meet against Sac City College and San Francisco College. "We didn't know what we were getting ourselves into so to win that meet was big for us." CRC has not had a home meet in over 30 years. So when asked how it felt to be part of the first big meet in over 30 years Sara responded with, "Pretty amazing, we were all blowing up the group chat afterwards!" To win this meet was a huge accomplishment for these women. CRC has a lot of new swimmers this season and a great coaching staff so they can only get better from here.

Natasha Supan has also lowered two more CRC swim records. Natasha lowered the 50 back by 1.9 seconds and she also swam the 200 back which was also a new race for CRC. "It's definitely nice to hold a record" she said. Multiple swimmers have lowered records this season. When asked how Natasha felt about the direction the team is headed she responded with, "It's good to keep building the program. As a returning swimmer it's nice to see how it has developed and progressing to be a well-rounded diverse team."
