SANTA ROSA (2-5) - Cosumnes River hit the road for their first road match of the regular season as they took on Santa Rosa Junior College. The Hawks had a tough time with the Bear Cubs and won 5-4.
The Hawks won four singles matches while the Bear Cubs won two. In the #2 singles match between Angela Hurtado of Cosumnes River and Sandy Vang of Santa Rosa, Hurtado defeated Vang 6-1, 6-4. The #5 and #6 singles matches were declared victories for the Hawks via forfeit. In the #1 singles match between Krista Le of the Hawks and Ghita Zhari of the Bear Cubs, Zhari defeated Le 6-1, 6-1. In the #3 singles match between Salma Prasad of Cosumnes River and Molly Wolmuth of Santa Rosa, Wolmuth won 6-1, 6-1.
