Personal:  Mercedes’ family includes dad Tony, mom Miriam, and brothers Tony, Immanuel, and Greg. She started playing volleyball when she was 17 years old. She chose this sport because she wanted to stay in shape off season from track and field. Her major is Administration of Justice. She aspires to become a probation officer.  In her spare time she likes hanging with friends and watching TV.
